INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION :
Curious to know how a graphic novel makes its way from a creative mind to a finished book? Want to spend a semester learning about the business and creative side of comics? We create original, award winning graphic novels and comics for clients such as Nickelodeon Magazine, The San Francisco Examiner, Asian Week and Sparkplug Comics. Our Internship Program exposes students to a variety of duties and provides valuable knowledge of the industry. Student will be trained and assist in all areas of production including but not limited to technical inking and ruling, assembly, binding, complex photocopy production, color prep work and formatting on Photoshop.
QUALIFICATIONS:
In order to facilitate the learning experience, the following qualifications are preferred: Should be able to commit to a semester (minimum 135 hours) of the internship and be able to work 9-20 hours per week. Should be studying cartooning/animation or a related field (Illustration, Fine Art, etc.). Should be eligible to earn academic credit in the form of units. Experience in Photoshop is a must.

Internships are unpaid and structured to last approximately one semester. Resume and a Cover Letter are required. Students should have a strong academic record (3.0 strongly preferred) and good character. Students seeking college credit are strongly encouraged to apply.
